Coco’s Ill

For the un-informed, Coco is a beautiful jet black cat who belongs to my parents (see below pictures), he has been in the family for 15 years, over half of my life. For anyone who owns a pet, especially a Cat, you will understand the kind of bond you develop with your pet, especially after having them in your life for so many years. I have a lot of fond memories from the last 15 years.
Recently Coco has been looking rather un-well, this look represented by a drastic loss of weight. Now Coco is not one not to eat, like most Cats he likes his food so not suprisingly we have been rather worried about him. The weight loss has been very apparent to me as I no longer live with my parents. Every time I have popped back he has looked thinner.

Fortunately my little Sis works for a Vets (as she adores everything to do with animals) so she whisked him off to get checked out. The Vet did some blood tests but nothing showed up so he was taken back in. The Vet now suspects it may be 1 of 2 problems. The first possibility is a Stomach ulcer, this is treatable so the Vet has prescribed a list of medication longer than my arm. If Coco doesn’t shown any signs of improvement then it may be the 2nd prognosis.

The 2nd prognosis is a Stomach tumour. Needless to say I am praying it’s the first and that Coco shows improvement with this medication. A tumour will mean only one outcome and thats something I don’t want to think about.

Please get well Coco!
